SUMMARY:Designed to Disappear
DESCRIPTION:This course will introduce the builder\, designer\, or architect to the benefits of hiding technology into the design and architecture of a project. The course will begin by defining the luxury experience in residential design. It will then dive deeper into audio and lighting as elements that influence the luxury experience. Finally\, the course will present solutions for hiding these and other technologies into design and architecture. \nSpeaker Scott Foco has been actively involved in the residential Custom Installation industry for over 15 years. He spent time working for integration companies in both the Portland and Seattle markets before transitioning over to the vendor supply side of the business. The time he spent as an integrator working with builders\, designers\, architects and end users has provided invaluable experience in understanding the challenges and needs felt by all parties involved in a custom project. Scott has worked with Sonance for the last five years and is now responsible for sharing the “Designed to Disappear” message with partners across the western half of the United States. \n  \nRegister

SUMMARY:3CREN: Integrated Design & Commissioning for Non-Res Title 24 Compliance Pt. 2
DESCRIPTION:We’ll go through the top 10 compliance areas that frequently snag a plan review for non-residential energy code compliance\, and discuss how to get it right the first time. Whether you’re an applicant or a plan checker\, you’ll want to know what to look for\, how to avoid common mistakes and how to make sure you have accurate compliance forms. \nAn important aspect is building commissioning (Cx)\, a process to ensure that our non-residential buildings perform and operate as designed. Rather than seeing Cx as one more burden\, we’ll talk about efficiently meeting the requirements and enjoying the short-term and long-term benefits. \nRegister here
