Upcoming Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance Hearing at SB City Council – April 17th

The City is proposing amendments to Title 30 of the Zoning Ordinance to adopt local development regulations related to Accessory Dwelling Units and encourages public involvement.
On April 17, 2018 City Council will hold a hearing to consider adoption of amendments to the Santa Barbara Municipal Code to establish development regulations for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). This will be the first reading (introduction) prior to a second reading (adoption) at a subsequent hearing. This hearing follows the Ordinance Committee’s meetings on February 27, 2018 and March 6, 2018 during which Committee members made a motion to forward their recommendation to City Council.

We encourage you to stay informed and attend the public hearing. The ADU webpage includes information about this work effort at SantaBarbaraCA.gov/ADU.
