City of Goleta – STAR Communities Workshop
Monday, June 4, 2018
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
City of Goleta Council Chambers (130 Cremona Drive)
Please join the City of Goleta on June 4th for a STAR Communities public workshop. STAR Communities is a non-profit organization that works to advance a national, standardized framework to evaluate local sustainability that encompasses economic, environmental and social performance measures.
The purpose of the workshop is to utilize the City’s certification as a 3-STAR Community under the STAR Community Rating System to gain a better understanding of the STAR framework, and through facilitated exercises, analyze the City’s certification results, identify gaps and help prioritize next steps for development of a future sustainability plan.
Can’t make the meeting? A presentation on the workshop and certification results will follow at the June 5th City Council meeting.
Space is limited so please RSVP by May 24th if you are interested in attending or would like additional information by contacting: Cindy Moore, Sustainability Coordinator, at cmoore@cityofgoleta.org or 805-961-7547.
