Title: Automated Vehicular Gate Design for Safety Standard Compliance
Presented By: DoorKing
Description: The purpose of this course is to train design professionals on safety related design and installation methods for automated vehicular gates to insure that their designs are in compliance with current industry safety standards and the IBC, IFC, IRC and IPMC. These safety standards include the UL 325 Standard for Safety for Door, Drapery, Gate, Louver, and Window Operators and Systems, and the ASTM F2200 Standard Specification for Automated Vehicular Gate Construction.
Learning Objective: After completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Have an understanding of safety standards that detail design and construction criteria for automated vehicular gates.
• Know the requirements for automated vehicular gate systems and how to design and specify gates to be in compliance with the safety standards.
• Have a good understanding of what an entrapment is in an automated gate system and how to design the gate to eliminate potential entrapment areas.
• Explore different methods of providing pedestrians with a safe passage route around an automated gate system
