Purpose:  To receive updates and give feedback on:  the new code adoption process and local amendment, common issues during plan check, processes & digital submittal

A) The new code adoption process and local amendment
B) Common issues during plan check
i) High Fire, use of standard sheets
·High Fire Detail Sheet & General Note Sheet Download here: 
ii) Class A roof, metal roof
·Provide ICC-ES Report Number
·Install over a noncombustible deck or
·Provide approved installation alternative from ES-Report
iii)Fireplaces
·Prefabricated fuel-burning fireplaces
o Manufacturer Installation requirements (over noncombustible subfloor)
o Seismic anchoring
·Fuel burning appliances (sealed combustion air)
o Manufacturer Installation requirements (over noncombustible subfloor)
iv)Eave vents
·When/Where allowed and not allowed
·Specify vent type, brand and model number on plans
C) County processes:
1. Revisions – Involves outside agencies (flood/fire/zoning/EHS/Etc.). Only revised sheets are submitted
2. CCRs – Construction Change Request does not involve ANY outside agencies.
